Are you organised, proactive and a natural people person who enjoys building relationships and keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a Locum Coordinator to join our Talent Team and play an important role in supporting the growth and success of our locum function across Hakim Group.

This is a varied, people-focused role where you’ll help connect locums with our practices, build and maintain an engaged talent pool, and ensure the locum journey runs as smoothly as possible from onboarding through to ongoing support.

You’ll be a key point of contact for locums and practices, helping them navigate LocumHub, coordinating bookings and onboarding, and ensuring the right information and compliance checks are in place. You’ll also play an important part in keeping our records accurate, monitoring engagement and identifying opportunities to improve the experience for everyone involved.

If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, take pride in staying organised and love making a difference through great communication and customer service, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

You will also receive:

  • Competitive salary
  • Company pension
  • Employee discount
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Free parking
  • Health & wellbeing programme
  • Additional leave
  • Sick pay
  • An Extra Day off for your Brithday

About the Role

What you’ll be doing

  • Building relationships: Source, attract and engage new locums, developing a strong talent pool and maintaining positive relationships with existing locums.

  • Coordinating activity: Support the day-to-day management of locum bookings, queries and outstanding actions, ensuring everything is followed through efficiently.

  • Supporting LocumHub: Help locums and practices use our platform confidently, providing guidance, answering queries and assisting with basic troubleshooting.

  • Managing onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding of new locums and practices, ensuring all necessary information, documentation and compliance checks are completed.

  • Keeping things compliant: Support Right to Work, CEST, WPQ and other relevant compliance processes, following agreed procedures and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.

  • Keeping everyone engaged: Monitor locum activity and platform usage, proactively reconnecting with inactive locums and supporting initiatives to encourage engagement.

  • Spotting opportunities: Gather feedback, identify recurring issues and highlight ways we can improve our processes and the experience we provide.

  • Reporting and insight: Maintain accurate data and contribute to reports on locum activity, engagement, onboarding and platform usage.

  • Working collaboratively: Partner with the wider Talent Team to support changing priorities, share insight and help develop the locum function as the business continues to grow.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in resourcing, recruitment, coordination, customer service or relationship management.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep on top of outstanding actions.

  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build positive relationships with locums, practices and internal stakeholders.

  • Great attention to detail, particularly when maintaining records, managing documentation and supporting compliance processes.

  • Confidence using IT systems, with the ability to pick up new platforms quickly and experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to take ownership and escalate issues when needed.

  • A customer-focused mindset and a genuine desire to provide a responsive, professional and positive experience.

  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing your own workload independently.
